Sheldon Brown's Yucatan Photos

Bicycle

well
The typical Yucatecan bike is a 28" wheel roadster with a coaster brake and double top tubes. This one is obviously its owners pride and joy, lovingly maintained and decorated.

Note the cool pompom streamers, and the rear axle pegs to let passengers ride on the luggage rack.

Since the Yucatan is as flat as a billiard table, there's no need for gears here, and lightness doesn't count for much either.
