(A friend sent me a link to Jason Fuller's Instagram posting of photos of his Raleigh Twenty. Customized in 2021, this Twenty has a rather diverse selection of components
A bicycle customized at one's own hands brings on special joy in ownership and in riding . Jason Fuller has taken cusotmization to a wondrous extreme, mixing high-end and low-end components. But why not? This Twenty truly blows the concept of bike snobbery out of the water :-)
The component selection on this Twenty is suitable for around-town use in moderate terrain, day and night, rain or shine, with fenders, high-quality lighting, racks, internally-geared rear hub and waterproof-- but not fade-resistant -- drum brakes.)
As mentioned, it's quite the honor to have a photo of my Twenty considered for posting on sheldonbrown.com, since I'm sure it's no surprise that I couldn't have built this bike without all the excellent info (and Twenty-specific info) on the website. Here is the exhaustive build spec - nothing's original except the frameset, fenders, and Pletscher rack; but I've tried to keep the bike looking stock to the untrained eye.
