These images are from a photo album kept by my grandfather (and namesake) Sheldon Brown. He was born August 10, 1873 in Brush Prairie (Hockinson) Washington Territory, and died October 15, 1958 in Yakima, Washington. His parents were Andrew Brown (Anders Junilla) and Olive Harris
He was a graduate of the University of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines.
He married Ida Mattson and they lived together in Zillah, Washington. They had two children, a son, George Matson Brown (my father) and Olivida "Betty" Brown (Brunelle). They raised apricots and other crops on their small ranch.
These photos were scanned from a fairly delapidated postcard-size photo album, and I have done considerable restoration work to most of them. Not all of the subjects are clearly identified, and for some of those who are, it is not clear what their relationship is.
On this page, the thumbnail images are arranged in the order they were found in the album.
