The B17 series is the most popular of Brooks's sporty models. They are an excellent
choice for touring, century rides, ultra-marathon rides and other demanding types of cycling.
The B17 is most appropriate for cyclists who set their handlebars about the same height as
their saddles, or a bit lower.
All of the B17 models feature bag loops to permit the use of a traditional English-style
touring bag.

In the 1890 Brooks catalogue, the oldest in the their archive, Brooks presents most of the saddles with the "registered cutting, a sure preventive to all perineal pressure".
Over 100 years ahead of todays saddle manufacturers, John Boultbee Brooks had already found the solution to a nowadays well known problem.
Brooks has reintroduced it on one of their most successful models (The B17) with an improved and dedicated solution for men and for women.
